Support the Morton Park District Otters Swim Team

This Endowment Fund was started in May of 2019 by the MCF Board of Directors, using their Variance Power to convert having determined that the Y.E.S. Pool Fund’s purpose was incapable of fulfillment and the money could be put to good use for a similar purpose.

The Morton Otters swim team practices and holds meets at the Morton Pool located at 450 E. Idlewood. The pool, new in May 2010, is an eight-lane, twenty-five meter pool. The Morton Park District accepts registration for swim team beginning in mid to late April. A swim suit try-on night is held soon after registration begins (late April or early May) and a parent information night is held in late May. Swim team practice begins soon after school has recessed for the summer. Check the calendar above for specific dates.

This endowment fund will provide annual grants to be used for equipment and gear that primarily benefits the Morton Otters Swim Team and that may not be otherwise purchased within the normal Morton Park District budget. The purpose of the fund shall be accomplished, by way of illustration and not by limitation, to offset the purchase of practice/training equipment as well as equipment needed for hosting a swim meet, such as: starting blocks, timing equipment, lane markers, sound equipment, kickboards, pull buoys, hand paddles, resistance trainers, etc.
