Purpose
The Midwest Food Bank – Morton Division Endowment Fund, established in March of 2026 by Lighthouse Buick GMC, provides ongoing support for the vital work of Midwest Food Bank’s Morton location. Grants from this fund help meet the organization’s most important needs, including day-to-day operations, programs, equipment, and other priorities that allow it to continue serving individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community, across the country, and around the world.

Since its founding in 2003, the organization has grown from a small local effort into a highly efficient network serving communities across the United States and beyond.

Local Impact – Morton Division
Located in Morton, Illinois, the Midwest Food Bank’s Morton Division plays a critical role in supporting local food pantries, shelters, and community organizations, while also serving as the organization’s national disaster relief headquarters. Through strong partnerships and dedicated volunteers, the Morton Division ensures that food and essential supplies reach those who need them most—both in our local community and in times of disaster across the country—quickly, efficiently, and at no cost to recipient organizations.
Through twice monthly food distributions, the Morton Division provides consistent support while remaining ready to respond to disasters nationwide. From the deployment of food boxes to hygiene kits and cleanup supplies, the team is equipped to mobilize quickly when communities are in need.
Beyond our local and national impact, the Morton Division also supports international relief efforts, including ongoing mission in Haiti. Through trusted partnerships, we provide essential food and resources to communities facing ongoing need, extending hope and nourishment beyond our borders.
