Robin Snyder Memorial Nursing Scholarship
Help fund scholarships to Morton High School students pursuing a career in nursing.
The Robin Snyder Memorial Nursing Scholarship was established in August of 2024 by family and friends in memory of Robin. The fund’s purpose is to provide an annual scholarship to an MHS Senior graduate who intends to pursue a nursing career.
Robin Snyder had a servant’s heart and the hope for this scholarship is that her legacy will live on by providing MHS students the opportunity to succeed academically and to care for others.
Robin was a 1995 Morton High School graduate. She filled the halls with her infectious laugh and smile. She was easy to spot leading cheers at the MHS football games, cruising the streets in “Big Red”, or hosting some kind of “fancy” party. She was a member of the orchestra and played soccer all four years while attending MHS. Robin went on to play collegiate soccer at Anderson University. After graduating with an elementary education degree, Robin taught in Indiana for four years. She married Brian Snyder on June 12, 1999. The color purple flooded their wedding, along with bursts of joy. Following the birth of her quintuplets, she had a calling to return to school and earn her BSN. She became a NICU nurse for 15 years at OSF NICU. Robin’s love for life was evident not only through the joy, laughter and love she brought her family, but also with her involvement with the NICU Miracle Walk. Robin was a fierce advocate for her children (Ava and Hayden) and often demonstrated that same passion for her patients. She held a special place in her heart for her dog, Waffle.
Robin (Greene) Snyder passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the age of 47. She was born August 14, 1976 to Gary and Vickie (Kaiser). Robin was preceded in death by her three infant sons, Gabriel,Elliot and Miles.
We hope through this scholarship, Robin’s gift of serving others will continue for years to come.
